Now what the f*#?+ is wrong with this picture? I mean if we are in an economical crisis, which means the buying power is much lower then let’s say 2 years ago, how the hell can Apple sell 1 million device in the first week of it’s release? What the hell happened to our priorities, if there are so many issue with this economy, all over the world, less and less jobs and of course less and less money… how is it possible that 1 million people would buy without any issue this new iPhone only in US?

Now, I do understand the idea of a gadget, I like technology too, also I like to buy stuff, which most of the times I wont really use, just like iPhone, but I really don’t like iPhone…

iPhone is one of those gadgets that looks good, seems to do a lot of stuff, but still its a damn mobile phone, its not even a PDA (my opinion). Besides this simple facts, it costs quite a lot, about $300 with contract at AT&T, well in US, but the point would be that is very expensive. How come people can buy this quite expensive phone, but a lot of them still complain about jobs, money and stuff like that? Most important question is: Why would they even buy it? I mean this new iPhone it’s almost the same like the old one besides the specs, but to be realistic, it’s not like you can use it as a computer to really matter the specs. Also using this phone for the application or even buying the application it’s just pure stupidity, in other ways the phone is just the same like any other phone, besides that it looks better or cooler (still doesn’t mean you need to buy it).

Anyway, I don’t really think I will understand this weird obsession over a mobile phone or mp3 player or whatever thing/gadget is out there and it’s super expensive. I would buy a Apple laptop or desktop, because the build and speed it’s really the good, but when it comes to a mobile phone or mp3 player, I just can’t see the point to spend so much money for something that could be done with twice or three times less money.

Our priorities over the years have change, from having food on the table, clothes to dress up and be warm to iPhone and Apple products, anorectic women and stupidity in every way possible.

The world is getting more and more stupider and superficial. (you can quote me on that )

In rest I would say the week was quite calm, no new stories or important events. I’m preparing right now a post related to Xen and OpenVZ virtualization, which got me to a conclusion over this week, one of them sucks badly, but you need to be tuned to this blog until I write that post

Oh, yes, I forgot. Yesterday I got the opportunity to watch Milk, a movie which was nominated at Oscars and as I know, it actually won a couple of them. The movie reveals the story of a gay man, Harvey Milk, who struggles with a racist and bigot America in the 70′s. Now, from my side, the movie is great, represents one of the first gay movements in US and their fight for freedom and rights. I would say its worth watching it, at least for some history lesson.
