Well, as the before release this would be the same think, just it has some updates and also the base its a newer version of kernel. The base is 2.6.30-rc8, with git6 patch, Acer fan module patch, coretemp patch for the new Intel Atom (of course this new build has full Acer Aspire One support). Also I have re-included the webcam modules, as in the previous release I totally forgot about them.

When I believed that everything is gonna work out between IBM and Sun, this falls into place, Oracle buys Sun, something that no one saw it coming. I don’t really have issues with Oracle, but they are not really open source or not as much as I would wish, also I can’t really understand why Oracle bought Sun… I mean Sun are more into OS, some hardware and a lot of Java, unlike Oracle which is more, well actually all database.

The weekend its almost here and its just boring. The weather here is just nuts, very cold, no sun and windy as hell, but on the technological front we have some interesting news. One of the most important one would be, the IBM & Sun deal which might work out after all. A lot of people say that this might not have any impact in the IT world, but I beg to differ, lets see what happens. In other news Microsoft have finally launched Internet Explorer 8, which can be downloaded from the Microsoft website as we speak. To be honest I wouldn’t use it, I would and will stick with Firefox and I don’t think IE8 or other Microsoft products will get better any time soon, when it comes to virtually anything, stability, speed, security and so on. When it comes to Apple, they have launched the new iPhone 3.0 OS, quite obvious for iPhones
(I really don’t like iPhone that much).
