Revision 2 for kernel 2.6.30.2-godsmack
2Because there was some stuff missing from the first revision, this new revision, 2, has now pciehp added as a module. Seems it didn’t work right if it was build in the kernel. Also I have tried to build unionfs into this revision, but it’s not possible, the patch it’s not finished or I’m really missing something.
After googling for a while, I noticed that nobody is using the kernel patch, they are just build it and installing it as a module. I’m not sure what’s the deal, but the unionfs patch doesn’t add the options in the main Makefile, so you can’t really enable it. If there is a different way, I don’t know it, but if any of you have an idea on how to do this, please let me know and I will add the unionfs file system.
Kernel 2.6.30.2-godsmack released for Debian/Ubuntu (Godsmack)
10A new kernel version has been released by the kernel development team and with this a new kernel package build also is now released by me for Debian/Ubuntu. This new release includes kernel 2.6.30.2 with acerhdf fan module (0.5.16) for Acer Aspire One, coretemp fix for Intel Atom based netbooks/desktops, plus removal of different kernel hacking settings for a kernel speed-up. Now what this new kernel version has to offer can be found at http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/ChangeLog-2.6.30.2.
