About Me
Hello and welcome to my blog. I am Robert, I’m a System and Application Administrator working in IBM. I’ve being doing this job for the past 3 years and working with computers for the past +10 years.
I like computers, playing with them, playing with Linux and different Linux distributions, applications on Linux and so on. Besides computers, I like cars, engines, movies, music, drawing, driving and traveling.
At the moment, I do own my own servers, run different things for users, like free shell and web hosting, plus mail server, DNS server and so on. Most of the times I am using CentOS 4 or 5 for a production server and maybe Ubuntu 8.04. My work laptop has Ubuntu 8.04 with a custom kernel, but at home I have also Windows XP and Windows 7. I’m not against Microsoft, I would like them to change a bit the style of doing things, but still I am OK with what they do. I do prefer Linux, but still there are things which need fixing within Linux.
