Kernel 2.6.30.4-disturbed released for Debian/Ubuntu (Disturbed)
Well there is again a new kernel released and with that a new kernel package released by me called 2.6.30.4-distrubed. As you may notice, version 2.6.30.3 was skipped, because the bug fix in the release didn’t really affected the previous kernel package.
When it comes to the name, it’s the same story, Distrubed it’s another rock band which I really like, so this kernel release name is Distrubed. Other improvements and bugfixes besides the usual you can read at http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/ChangeLog-2.6.30.4 and of course this release includes support for Intel Atom CPU’s (coretemp), Acer Aspire One fan (acerhdf) and plus the pciehp build as a module for Acer Aspire One card readers.
To be able to get this new kernel package please go to http://dl.robertalks.com/kernel/2.6.30.4-disturbed/ and you will need at least to donwload linux-image-2.6.30.4-disturbed_1_i386.deb and install it on your computer/laptop/netbook.
For developers or those who wanna rebuild the kernel for them selfs please go to http://dl.robertalks.com/kernel/source/ and download from there the source code plus the config file for the kernel and then just build it.
Thank you! You often write very interesting articles. You improved my mood.
