Revision 2 for kernel 2.6.30.2-godsmack
Because there was some stuff missing from the first revision, this new revision, 2, has now pciehp added as a module. Seems it didn’t work right if it was build in the kernel. Also I have tried to build unionfs into this revision, but it’s not possible, the patch it’s not finished or I’m really missing something.
After googling for a while, I noticed that nobody is using the kernel patch, they are just build it and installing it as a module. I’m not sure what’s the deal, but the unionfs patch doesn’t add the options in the main Makefile, so you can’t really enable it. If there is a different way, I don’t know it, but if any of you have an idea on how to do this, please let me know and I will add the unionfs file system.
So to download this new revision please go to http://dl.robertalks.com/kernel/2.6.30.2-godsmack/ and download linux-image-2.6.30.2-godsmack_2_i386.deb and linux-headers-2.6.30.2-godsmack_2_i386.deb and maybe, if you still wanna build unionfs modules or other stuff then download also linux-source-2.6.30.2-godsmack_2_all.deb.
Good luck and let me know how it works…
Thank you for the update! Now that pciehp is compiled as a module my right hand card reader is working perfectly. Great work.
thank you! was able to install and get coretemp working with my dual core Atom processor in my MSI Wind that I’m planning on using as a server. Now I can test my fan and heatsink mods easily! Thanks!
